General Veterinary Consulting
You will need to tell us how many pets you are bringing in, and what for. We have quieter times and busier times. Saturday mornings are traditionally our busiest. If you feel your pet has a complicated problem or you would like extra time then please mention this while booking in and an extended consultation will be booked for you. Also, if you are bringing in more than one animal we need to book extra time for you.
Vaccinations & Sterilisation
If you are bringing your pets in for vaccinations please remember their vaccination record book so that we can update them for you. Every pet receives a full clinical examination, to verify his or her health before a vaccination. That means Dr Fuller asks questions, and performs the right examination. Parasites need to be controlled with the most safe and effective agents, so the right selections can be made. Diet, dental health and general pet care are discussed to ensure happy animal ownership. Please discuss your pet sterilisation with Dr Fuller, so arrangements and bookings can be made in advance.
Dog and cat microchipping is a simple procedure. Dr Fuller simply injects a microchip for pets, about the size of a grain of rice (12mm), beneath the surface of your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination. No anesthetic is required.
We have a variety of dog food to provide complete nutrition for your dog.

Medications & Pet Paraphernalia
We have a selection of over the counter medications for deworming, and tick and flea control, as well as pet shampoos, brushes and combs and collars and leads for both dogs and cats.
Here is Fidget wearing her happy face!
Fidget and her brother were brought in as rescue kittens around 10 years ago. Her brother was adopted but Fidget opted to stay and manage the Reception. As is evidenced, she pays close attention to her duties. Over the years she has arranged things to her satisfaction – until Toby came along. He had to be firmly put in his place and be made to understand that she is in Charge. All the regular clients know to pay their respects to her when they come to the surgery but must never get too familiar as many have found out to their painful cost.
His story, sadly, is pretty typical.
It seems he was abandoned when his family left the complex in which they were living. Eventually after a long while and only when he had really lost his condition and his health was thoroughly compromised did somebody bring him to us.
He is an old boy and has a heart/lung condition. However since being with us – about a year now – he has put on a lot of weight and now looks after the front entrance to the surgery.
Grant has to give him an injection on a regular and on-going basis for his cough . . . . . He gets coughing fits and coughs up copious quantities of mucus. In the beginning we walked him on a lead to exercise him gently. He has his own hock at night with a soft pillow and a blankie. Toby lives out his days with free board and lodging and free medical aid and a lot of attention from all the clients.
